About Me

Hi, my name is D.J. Stack and I am 25. I have just moved to Dublin but before that I lived and worked in Cork City for the last two years. I grew up on a dairy farm in West Limerick so I am what the dubs call a 'culchie'. 

​

I'm a fully qualified second level Physical Education and Mathematics teacher and I have taught both subjects over the last two years. That has amounted to 1,500 classes and over 350 different students! Teenagers love Maths..... Sike!! 

​

My undergraduate degree a Bachelor of Education degree in Physical Education and Mathematics and I am proud to have graduated with a 2:1 grade. I am currently undertaking my Masters degree in Project Management at UCD Smurfit. 

​

I have had a range of different jobs (mostly seasonal) over the duration of my short working life. I have worked as a baker, a football coach, a fibre optic technician, a smoothie maker and of course, a teacher. My current goal is to graduate from UCD Smurfit with a first-class honours degree and attain employment either here in Dublin or back down in Cork. 

​​

In my spare time you can find me either playing or watching sports. My interests are predominately focused on the GAA, Soccer and Basketball but I also enjoy watching Rugby and Tennis. I support my beloved Manchester United (I know, I know) and the Limerick GAA team. 

​

I try and give back by coaching the next generation in my local community, through coaching young kids a range of different sports. I also enjoy spending time with my family and girlfriend and going for long walks with my dog Rosie.

This Masters degree equips me with advanced knowledge and skills in project planning, risk management and leadership to deliver successful projects across diverse sectors. I am also a recipient of the Aspire Scholarship. 

2019-2023

B.Ed. Physical Education and Mathematical Studies (Level 8, Hons)
University College Cork

This undergraduate degree combines movement science and pedagogy with analytical and problem-solving training. The programme develops both quantitative and interpersonal skills, balancing theory and practice to prepare graduates with a versatile foundation for education, leadership, and broader professional opportunities.

The leaving certificate provided me with a solid academic foundation, fostering critical thinking and discipline, while preparing me for higher education and future professional opportunities across diverse fields. I completed Maths, English, German, Construction Studies, Geography and Agricultural Science at Higher Level.

  • ​After my undergraduate degree in UCC, I taught students’ physical education & mathematics to all ages.​

Fibre Optic Technician, 2021-2022 (Seasonal)

  • During the summers' of my undergraduate degree, I worked as Fibre Optic Technician.

  • I Operated as part of a multi-disciplinary team to reach certain fibre meterage targets each day as stated by head of management.

​

​

  • Ensured a safe working site by displaying road signage as communicated by the Traffic management company.

Farmer, 2014-2022

  • I grew up on a dairy farm so I was put to work young, Milking cows and caring for livestock, ensuring animal health and welfare.

  • ​​I operated and maintained farm machinery, including tractors and milking equipment.

​

  • ​​I repaired fences, maintained facilities, and supported general farm upkeep

I am an outgoing person who thrives on social interaction. I demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills from my time Teaching.

I possess strong analytical skills from my undergraduate degree which enable me to think critically and make evidence based decisions.

I am skilled at managing multiple tasks efficiently and prioritising meeting deadlines.
